The Raleigh Chapter of Ducks Unlimited adheres to the National DU and North Carolina DU Mission Statement and Vision, which is:

Ducks Unlimited is wetlands sufficient to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever.  Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl.  These habitats benefit other wildlife and people.

Ducks Unlimited is the world's largest private, non-profit, waterfowl and wetland conservation organization.  By any measure, since its inception in 1937 DU has become one of the largest conservation/environmental groups in the world, with more than 1 million supporters in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  As of January 1, 2009, Ducks Unlimited has conserved over 12,612,968 acres of wetlands in North America.  No other conservation or environmental group can match DU's accomplishments on behalf of waterfowl, wetlands, and related habitats.

The Raleigh Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is consistently recognized as one of the top fundraising chapters in North America.  The Raleigh Chapter is regularly acknowledged as a top fundraising chapter and consistently raises over $100,000 a year.   The Chapter has been a President’s Top 100 Chapter in the U.S.A. for 7 years and a President’s Top 10 Chapter in the U.S.A. for 3 years.  Additionally, the Raleigh Chapter has been recognized by former President George W. Bush as a National Grassroots Chapter.

Our Chapter is a volunteer driven, membership based, non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds to protect, enhance, and maintain wetland habitat in North Carolina and across North America.  The Raleigh Chapter of DU holds many fundraising events throughout the year.  These conservation efforts benefit waterfowl, other wildlife, and the people of North Carolina today, tomorrow and forever.
